That is why we built GhumneChlo.com to make travelling in Himachal more transparent, reliable, locally informed, and personal.

Our Story
GhumneChlo.com was founded in 2025, but the idea behind it began a year earlier.
While working in the travel industry in 2024, our co-founder Lakshay Bramta noticed several problems that travellers commonly faced while planning and experiencing their trips.
Travellers often had limited information about their destination and had to completely depend on travel agents for recommendations. In some cases, they were not given enough information about what they were actually booking. There were also concerns around the reliability of travel partners and the behaviour or service provided by drivers, hotel staff, and other people involved in the journey.
Another problem stood out.
Many travel agencies operating in Himachal were not locally based. With limited knowledge of the region, their itineraries often focused on the same popular destinations. As a result, travellers could miss the quieter villages, lesser-known attractions, local experiences, and offbeat destinations that make Himachal truly special.
Lakshay and his long-time friend and co-founder Piyush Sharma saw an opportunity to do things differently.
They wanted to build a travel company where travellers could receive honest information, genuine local guidance, dependable travel support, and better hospitality.
That idea became GhumneChlo.com.
Why GhumneChlo?
The name comes from the Hindi phrase “Ghumne Chlo,” meaning “Let’s Travel.”
It is the kind of phrase friends naturally use when they start planning a trip:
“Ghumne Chlo!”
We chose this name because we don’t want to feel like just another travel agency. We want to be like the friend you turn to when planning a trip — someone who helps you understand the destination, discover places worth visiting, and make informed decisions about your journey.
Our approach is built around honest guidance rather than simply selling a package.

For us, the relationship doesn’t end when the trip is over.

Meet Our Founders
Lakshay and Piyush have been friends since their school days. That friendship became the foundation for building GhumneChlo.com together. While their responsibilities are different, both share the same belief: travelling in Himachal should be more transparent, better informed, and more personal.
Lakshay Bramta
Co-Founder | Marketing Specialist | Filmmaker | Strategist
Lakshay Bramta is one of the co-founders of GhumneChlo.com and is responsible for the company’s marketing, social presence, brand development, and long-term strategy.
Originally from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, Lakshay is a graduate who chose to build a company around his passion for travel and exploration.
Although he is 23, he has already spent several years gaining experience in the travel industry. Alongside travel, he has been practicing filmmaking for more than four years, an experience that helps him communicate destinations and travel experiences through visual storytelling.
Lakshay is particularly interested in discovering the lesser-known side of Himachal Pradesh and understanding how travellers can explore the region in a more meaningful and responsible way.
At GhumneChlo.com, he brings his experience in marketing, strategy, storytelling, and understanding what travellers expect from a modern travel company.
Piyush Sharma
Co-Founder | Sales Manager | Client & Company Relations
Piyush Sharma is the co-founder responsible for sales, client relationships, and coordination between travellers and the company.
Also from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, Piyush has a strong passion for travelling and has explored a large part of Himachal Pradesh. His first-hand experience of travelling across the state gives him a practical understanding of what travellers need while exploring the region.
At just 22, he has developed a strong understanding of sales, customer communication, and relationship management.
